I'm still waiting to hear from New York Road Runners and American Cancer Society about the 2021 NYC Marathon, but I am finally starting to see a light at the end of this quarantine tunnel. Last week, I got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine and am scheduled for my second dose on February 20, 2021.
Some groups have restarted their weekly runs, but with social distancing and masks. Others have created virtual challenges to encourage runners to keep going during this crazy time. Philly Runfest has tentatively scheduled their 2021 in-person event for Sunday June 6, 2021. Their website did say subject to change based on city, state, and CDC guidelines but they are optimistic.
While I am still waiting to know which year I will run the NYC Marathon (2021, 2022, 2023) I will continue my fundraising efforts.
