Another Setback and Upcoming Plans

Florida running selfie
Wow. I just looked at my blog and realized that my last post was at the beginning of January. Well, a lot happened since January.

I took my first air trip since all the shutdowns began as I went to Florida for a week. While in Florida, I did take a run the first day but after that, I was so busy that I didn't have time to run. I did however walk over 20,000 each day during my trip. Then I arrived home and slept through the first two weeks of February. Luckily I am fine and recovered now.

Conference time
Unfortunately, I will be out of running again for another two weeks. This time because I once again need to have my wisdom teeth removed. Seriously, if I had known this would happen I would have just done all four at once. Now I need to go through the whole process again since my dentist decided the other side was bad too.

So what's next? I'm already registered for a bunch of races this spring and summer. I added a list to the sidebar of my blog for anyone interested. The list links to the races so if you want to join me you are welcome.

Running with Elmo in 2017
My favorite upcoming event is probably the Sesame 5K which I've only done one previous time. The race is a scholarship fundraiser for the school district near Sesame Place and includes entry to the park. As a teacher, I already have free entry to Sesame Place but I'll use the ticket to help offset the cost of taking my nephews to meet Elmo and gang. So why do I love the Sesame 5K? The characters of course. They are scattered throughout the course giving high fives and great selfies.
