I might as well start 2020 off strong. This morning I went to Valley Forge to meet up with a group of runners from Philadelphia Runners. I've done a bunch of their group runs before but never outside of Philadelphia. It's also the first time I went to the
Valley Forge National Historical Park which was beautiful in itself.
The weather report showed high 30s so you can imagine my surprise as I got closer to the park and saw snow flurries. Well, no excuses... Right? I ran the 5k (although my watch showed under three miles) and then followed the parade of cars from the park to the mall. We all reconvened in the Philadelphia Runner store inside the King of Prussia mall. Here we had a mimosa toast to the new year, and they gave away a few door prizes. Sadly I didn't win any but I did talk to a few people about my resolution to run the NYC marathon and got some training suggestions.
