Does it count as cross training?

I woke with good intentions this morning. I was planning to run at least four miles this morning, until I walked outside. The wind was so strong that I was freezing. 

Instead, I went to the fitness center at my condo and sat an an exercise bike while reading my book. I didn't pedal hard, but I did stay on it for 45 minutes before my legs started to feel funny. In fact, I almost fell over when I got off. Sadly, not the first time a stationary bike made me dizzy.
